I guess that another weekend bites the dust and its back to work in the morning, been mighty hot and and dry too.  I am growing some upside down tomatoes on the deck and they are starting to bloom and still waiting to see how they turn out.  One more week until the big holiday but I can't believe it is almost July.  Take care and have a great week.

Blogger for my Xoom tablet ..... hmmm, this could be a good thing for my posting ability.  Now I just need to learn how to type on this thing.  Let's see if this actually posts.

Finally I think that they got the bugs works out of IE 9 as blogger seems to be working with it now and never did before. I actually like a bunch of the new features that it has but it also got on my nerves that it didn't always work with everything. So here's hoping that all is better now :).

Going on Day 37 but still never far from my mind ..... chantix seems to be doing its thing. 

Good evening and how are with you?  I am watching the Craigslist Killer movie right now and watched most of it before but didn't make it until the end but I still can't believe that the guy used to live in Sherrill NY where I grew up.  Nothing happens there ya know.  It has also been pouring rain all day today and still is right now but if nothing else it made for a perfect day to kick back and read a book, I could have also used a nap but didn't quite find the time for that.  Yesterday wasn't too bad although it was cloudy all day but I think it was in the mid-60's in temps and is a far cry from today when it was only in the 40's.

Work has been going pretty well and have been extremely busy, we had an owners meeting for my two hotels a week ago and this week I need to attend one in downtown DC so with that and everything else it should be another busy week. 

I also ended up deciding to buy the Motorola Xoom tablet instead of the Ipad so I went to my local BestBuy yesterday but the were sold out and guess that they only place that had them were the BestBuy in Tysons where they had eight left.  So in the 30 minutes it took me to drive over there I got the last one so I guess that they were selling pretty well.  I like it plus I don't have to mess with I-Tunes and can just copy files to it from my desktop and I've found pretty much all of the apps that I would be looking for and haven't bought any.  I really haven't been using my desktop since getting it and works great for e-mail and surfing the web.  I also realized that a tablet is kind of the think that I have been looking for as I wanted something like an IPhone but without the phone plan and think that I could have lived with a IPOD Touch with a data plan but that is also basically what my Xoom is, plus there are still many more updates coming for it some day.

So I didn't do all that much this weekend but did get out last weekend and took a 12 mile bike ride and also broke out the Jeep and that started right up and ran great.  So I guess these showers are neccessary to get us to spring so I guess that we'll take it and just wait for warmer days to arrive sometime soon.

Enrique Iglesias - Hero (live)

I was looking for another Enrique video but came across this one and find that I like this one too -

Boy, I guess that it has been a while since I last wrote anything here but I guess that somehow I lost my motivation for the short term.  Plus if something else was going on I just never got around to adding anything later and weeks went by and now it is almost spring.  I am looking forward to the warmer weather and Friday was just a taste of it but the temps were in the 70's and the sun was shining.

I was up in Boston last week and went up Monday morning and came home Wednesday evening and then it was back to work on Thursday and Friday to round out the week.  Three of us actually went up to attend the 2011 Starwood Hotels North America Sales Meeting that took place at the Hines Convention Center and we stayed at the Westin Copley and also had meetings at the Sheraton.  Surprise, surprise and while I knew that I was nominated for Revenue Manager for Franchise Hotels I actually won the award and had to get up on stage and all that and accept the award.  I think that it was out of like 400 hotels or something like that so I guess that it is a pretty big deal but still wish that I would have also won a seven night stay anywhere in the world ....... but I think that all I got was a trophy to put on my desk.

I am also still a non-smoker and going on day 21 in another hour, I've been using Chantix and while it doesn't seem to be doing all that much for me something must be working since I haven't had one puff since.  I ended up buying my first prescription on line since I didn't want to have to go to a doctor but ended up paying close to $200 for the first month and found out that my prescription benefit covered all but $30.00.  So I ended up going to the doctors on Friday to get an actual prescription and also found out that my blood pressure rate was down, usually they tell me that it is slightly high when I go to the eye doctor or something so I think that not smoking might actually be helping me.  I still can't believe that I smoked for 31 years which is almost twice as long as I haven't smoked in my life.

I also just got one of those sound machines that makes like six different sounds like rain and ocean and rain forest and such as I normally sleep with the radio on all night but they have been  having this talk show on in the middle of the night that has been keeping me awake.  So this machine thing is awesome and I fall right to sleep and then don't want to wake up in the morning ....... hmmm, maybe that is not a good thing.  Other than that all is the same with me, I actually took MLK Day off so I am working tomorrow since it is one or the other although most everyone is taking tomorrow off.  So at least it should be a good day to get caught up if nothing else.
